The Lindbergh Kidnapping Trial, Who kidnapped the Lindbergh Baby, The 1930s, Lindbergh Kidnapping information, Lindbergh Kidnapping pictures, Lindbergh kidnap ladder, State vs. Hauptmann, Lindbergh ransom note

Q. In the ransom notes. You saw the word “not” properly spelled several times?

A. Yes; more times in the request writings than in the ransom notes.

Q. For instance, I show you—I can’t tell you what exhibit that is here.

A. I can’t either.

Q. It is the note that says “Dear Sir: Please hand enclosed letter to Colonel Lindbergh.” “It is in Mr. Lindbergh’s interest not to notify the police.” That very short letter.

A. Yes.

Q. The word “not” is correctly spelled there, isn’t it?

A. Correctly spelled there, yes, sir.
